What We Do

Our Services

A look at the deck work we handle most.

Deck Installation

A new deck built to your yard's layout, not a stock design.

Deck Repair

Soft boards, loose rails and squeaky steps fixed without a full rebuild.

Deck Staining & Sealing

Keeps sun and rain from turning your boards gray and brittle.

Composite Deck Installation

No sanding, no restaining, just a hose-down once a year.

Deck Railing Installation & Repair

Rails that pass code and don't wobble when you lean on them.

Custom Deck Design

Multiple levels, built-in seating, whatever your space calls for.

Who We Are

Who's doing the work

We build decks, and we fix the ones other people built wrong. Most of the calls we get start with a deck that bounces when you walk on it, a railing that's gone loose, or boards that have cupped and started catching water. If that's the deck in your backyard right now, you're not the only one dealing with it, and it's usually fixable without starting over.

We pull the skirting and look at the framing before we touch the surface boards, because a new deck surface over bad joists just hides the problem for another year. Footings get sized for the load they're actually carrying, not whatever was poured last time. Ledger boards get flashed properly where they meet the house, since that's the spot that lets water into the rim joist if it's missed. By the time we leave, the structure underneath should outlast the boards on top.

Had a soft spot by the stairs for a while before calling. Turns out the ledger board was never flashed, water got behind it for years.

Deck Repair · Sacramento, CA
Replaced our old wood deck off Blue Oaks with composite. Took an extra day because they found a rotted beam underneath, glad they caught it before closing it up.

Composite Deck Installation · Elk Grove, CA
We're just outside Lincoln and our deck gets full sun all afternoon. Boards were gray and splintery, now they look new.

Common Questions

Questions we get a lot

Questions people usually ask before booking a deck project.

Do you charge for estimates?
Estimates for deck work are free and come with a written quote listing materials and labor. Measurements and access get checked on site, with a number usually ready within a few days of the visit.
Are you licensed and insured for deck construction?
Yes, deck construction and repair work is covered under a California contractor's license along with liability insurance. Certificates of insurance are available on request before work starts.
How soon can you start a deck project?
Most deck projects can get on the calendar within two to four weeks depending on the season and current scheduling. Smaller repairs often move faster since they don't need a permit review first.
What areas do you serve?
Deck building and repair covers Roseville and nearby towns including Rocklin, Folsom, Lincoln, Citrus Heights and the greater Sacramento area. Distance from Roseville affects scheduling more than it affects pricing.
Do you work on all types of properties?
Single family homes make up most of the work, but decks on townhomes, rental properties and small multi-unit buildings get built and repaired too. HOA approval requirements are worth checking before design work starts on those.
Will you take on a small repair job, or only full builds?
Small repairs get taken on regularly, a single rotted board, a loose railing post, a step that's come loose. It's often cheaper to fix the specific problem than to replace the whole deck.
How do I get started on a deck project?
A call or a message with a few photos of the current deck or the space in mind is enough to start. A site visit gets scheduled from there to measure, check the ground or existing framing, and go over material options.
What does a new deck typically cost?
Cost depends mostly on square footage, decking material and how complicated the framing is, with composite running higher upfront than pressure-treated pine but needing less upkeep. Multiple levels, built-in railings or stairs on more than one side add to the number too.
Do you require a deposit before starting work?
A deposit is standard before materials get ordered, with the remaining balance due on completion or split across stages on larger jobs. The exact split gets spelled out in the written quote before any work begins.
What happens if it rains during the build?
Framing and concrete footing work pause during rain since wet lumber and wet concrete don't cure or fasten properly. Staining and sealing also need a dry forecast, both before application and for at least 24 hours after.
